Leah Ann “Mama Leah” Bray, 64, of Carbon Hill, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at her residence.

Visitation was Monday, July 29, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Abundant Life Church in Carbon Hill, and today, Tuesday, July 30, 2013, from noon until 1 p.m. at the church.

Funeral services will be today, Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Abundant Life Church with burial in the Carbon Hill Memorial Gardens. Ken Norris will officiate.

Bray was preceded in death by her father, Paul Matney; mother, Dawn Chambers Matney; and brothers-in-law, Bobby Bray and Billy “Bones” Bray.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Pete Bray Sr. of Carbon Hill; one daughter, Mary Bourland (Willie); two sons, James “Jimbo” Bray Jr. and Johnny Lee Bray; five grandchildren, Matthew John Bray, Jonathan Bray, Jacob Bray, Tiffany Leanne-Hope Bray and Madeline Bray; three sisters-in-law, Betty Morton (James), Margie Miles (Rabbitt), and Sheilia Pschier (Marvin); brothers-in-law, Clarence Bray (Martha) and Johnny Bray (Sandra); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to Drs. Baker, Garcia, Sanford and Vagua, as well as their staff, for their help during this time.

Pallbearers will be John Bray, Kolton Nichols, Connor Madison, Dylan Whitt, Medeiros and Zack Dobbins.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Carbon Hill Basketball Team and the Carbon Hill Baseball Team.
