Shoppers out in force for sales tax holiday

Whitney Freeman and her two daughters, Rachel and Grace, took advantage of the sales tax weekend Friday afternoon at Kmart in Jasper Mall. The back-to-school holiday started at 12:01 a.m. Friday and will end at midnight Sunday. Shoppers will be able to purchase books worth $30 or less, school supplies priced at $50 or less, clothing valued at $100 or less, and computers and computer equipment costing $750 or less.
