Beloved father, brother, son and physician, Dr. Tim Lovely, 49, of Jasper, passed away on the evening of Sept. 10, 2013 of natural causes.

His services were held the morning of Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in Tuscaloosa where he was laid to rest next to his beloved son, Charlie Lovely.

Born and raised in Kentucky, Dr. Lovely was an all-star basketball player and student in both high school and college. After graduating from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine, he moved to Alabama to begin practicing as an emergency medicine physician. Dr. Lovely dedicated his life to improving and saving the lives of others.

Dr. Lovely’s children write: “Dad always set the example of hard work and service, and he always took more pride in our successes than his own. We are very proud of our Dad.” Dr. Lovely is very loved and will be missed dearly by his family, his friends and his patients.

He was preceded in death by his son, Charlie Lovely; and sister, Teresa Lovely.

Survivors include his daughter, Tabitha Lovely; sons, Blake Lovely and Chandler Lovely; sisters, Linda Aldridge, Denise Manns and Jennifer Hawse; brothers, Philip Lovely and Perry Lovely; and parents, Charles Lovely and Virginia Faye Lovely.
