Nellie Deloris (Jones) Wolfe of Union Chapel, born July 8, 1921, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home with chapel services beginning at 7 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Union Chapel Cemetery.

Nellie was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxillary at Post 4850 and was a life member for more than 25 years, as well as a multiple decade member of the Order of The Eastern Star and BPOE (Elks Lodge).

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Franklin James Wolfe; her parents, Olin Coy and Mary Emmaline (Barton) Jones; siblings, Frances, Harold, Earline, Leon, and O.C. (Pete) Jones; sister-in-law, Louise Dickerson Jones; and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Gravlee Wolfe.

She is survived by her sister, Cynthia (Alfred) Williams and sister-in-law, Sara Ellis Jones. She is also survived by her children, Ann Cooper, Gale Keys (Jack), Faye Houk (Blackie), James (LaRue), and David (Joyce); her grandchildren, Frank (Cristine), Bo (Tracy), Lowell (Kathleen), Leticia (Toby), Jamie, Audrey, David, and Strother (Erin); 16 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren as well as a multitude of extended family and friends.
