Gibbs, a youth minister’s daughter, had a crisis pregnancy at age 18. With the help of Little, she decided to end it with an abortion.
They now go across the country sharing their testimony of shame, grief, grace and healing.
Both work at the Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Amarillo. Little is the coordinator of the men's post abortion ministry, and Gibbs is the executive director.
“We have heard fantastic things about Candy and Jerry's testimonies and are excited to have them as our special guests,” said Jenny Odom, executive director of PTRC in Jasper. “We also have some wonderful news to share that night regarding the future of our ministry's services and programs, so we'd love to have a full house.”
The “Celebrating the Gift of Life” banquet is PTRC’s largest fundraiser of the year.
Individual tickets are not sold. Church groups, businesses and other organizations may be a table host for free or a corporate sponsor for a donation of $500, which includes a variety of advertisements the night of the event.
Services offered at PTRC include free pregnancy tests and confidential counseling, a clothes closet for expectant mothers and babies up to 18 months, a “Now What?” educational incentive program and a post-abortion recovery Bible study.
