COLD SPRINGS — Tthe Cold Springs Eagles racked up a total of 561 yards of offense to beat the Lynn Bears 68-34 Friday night.

It was a night of big plays for the Eagles offense. After each team went three and out to start, Cold Springs took over their second possession at Lynn’s forty yard line. It only took three plays to get into the end zone with Caleb Ellison punching it in from two yards out.

The Lynn Bears got only one first down on their next drive before punting it to the Eagles.

The first two plays only gained two yards, but the next play went for 67 on a Logan Campbell swing pass to Christian Crandall.

Campbell finished with a huge night for the Eagles. He completed two passes for 92 yards and a touchdown, rushed 20 times for 198 yards and four touchdowns, and had an 88 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Lynn tight end Taylor Henson was the one player who made the Eagles pay for those mistakes. The sophomore finished the night with 11 catches for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He also accounted for all three of the Bears two point conversions.

Lynn 1-4 travels to Marion County next week.

Cold Springs 3-2 plays at Francis Marion.
