Three of the four bodies found Wednesday night in Winston County have now been identified as Kevin M. Carey, 30, Robert S. Hamrick, 29, and Andy Keith Hunt, 37, all from Savannah, Tenn.

The final victim, identified by other sources as Amanda T. Hamrick, 29, was apparently misidentified. Amanda Hamrick is still alive, according to Winston County Sheriff Rick Harris. Authorities believe they know the true identity of the fourth victim, but have not released it at this time.

Harris said the group appeared to have formed some sort of suicide pact and wanted to reinforce that there is no danger to the community. The four people in the car were killed by the same gun, which was recovered by the sheriff’s office.

“It started in that car and ended in that car,” Harris said.

Robert Hamrick and a female accomplice were charged with child pornography and child sex abuse in Hardin County, Tenn. They were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, the same day their bodies were discovered in the Black Pond area, south of Double Springs.

Harris said his department is still investigating the deaths and hopes to be able to make a formal statement on Monday afternoon. He said that area residents have called the department saying they saw the group over the last few weeks.

The bodies were sent to the Department of Forensic Science in Huntsville for autopsy.
