Marilyn R. Black, 76, of Foley, formerly of Jasper, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of Sumiton Church of God, a retired branch manager from First National Bank of Jasper and was an avid Auburn fan.

Funeral services will be today, Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Toby Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow at Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper.

Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home in Dora.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronney Black; and her parents, Lonnie and Ruby Rutledge.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jerry Black of Foley; her son, Greg Black and wife, Rosi of Vestavia; grandchildren, Bart Black (Faith) of Sumiton, Elizabeth Black Baker (Jon) of Louisville, Ky., Erica Black Tubbs (Jonathan) of Jacksonville, N.C., and Alexa Black of Montevallo; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Baker and Bartley Black III; and her brother, Larry Rutledge of Carbon Hill.
