He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 71 years, Kathleen Cain; two sons, Larry Cain and his wife, Janice, of Lewisville, Texas, and Perry Cain and his wife, Judy, of Memphis, Tenn.; and a daughter, Carol Taylor and her husband, Don, of Columbus, Ga.; his brother, Floyd Cain of Oakman; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; plus several nieces and nephews.
Cain was a WWII and Korean War veteran who served his country in the military for 30 years. He also worked for the Veterans Administration. It was his privilege to serve as an elder for the Whitehaven Church of Christ in Memphis, Tenn., and the Cedar Creek Church of Christ.
The viewing will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home with the funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Memory Gardens.
