An information packet which explains the duties of a lake manager is available by calling the WFF Fisheries Section at 334-242-3471.
Lake managers are appointed by the WFF to conduct daily operations of the 23 lakes in the state lakes program. Lake managers are not employees of the state of Alabama; they receive compensation through the sale of permits and concessions at the lake. Housing is provided at the Walker County Lake, but a lake manager must use their own equipment to maintain the grounds of the lake and provide concessions for sale.
