Editor’s Note: This is the final installment of the three-part series listing indictments returned by a Walker County Grand Jury in November 2013. Indictments become public record once the arrest warrants are executed so the indictment list may be incomplete. All those listed here are presumed innocent unless proven otherwise in a court of law.

A Walker County Grand Jury in November returned indictments for three counts each of first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping.

Victor Edward Johnson, 28, of Carbon Hill, was arrested on the charges on April 1, 2013. His bond was set at $630,000 property bond. He remains in the Walker County Jail awaiting trial. Each offense is a Class A felony, and, if convicted, Johnson could face 10 years to life in prison for each count. No trial date had been set as of press time.

The grand jury also returned indictments on 11 counts of possession of pornographic materials involving minors for Steven Ray Lucas, 43, of Clanton.

He was arrested by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office on May 2, 2013.
