Claude Adrian Taylor Sr., 90, of Cordova, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, at his residence.

The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Kilgore Green Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at 6 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel with Rev. Wayne Lee Jr. officiating.

Taylor was in the 483rd Anti-Aircraft Division of the Army, attached to the Marines in the Pacific Theater of World War II.

He was preceded by his wife, Mary Kate Taylor; mother, Drucilla Hunter; father, Griff Taylor; daughter, Paulette Hill; son-in-law, Gary “Buddy” Hill; grandfather, F.F. Morton; grandmother, Vicie Morton; sister, Elizabeth Holsombeck; brother, Dewey Hunter; brother-in-law, Howard Yarborough; and aunt, Annie Hunter.

Taylor is survived by his son, Buddy Taylor (Lisa); granddaughter, Debbie Girard (Dennis); grandsons, Bobby Hill, (Billie), and Josh Taylor; great-grandchildren, Alison Shubert, Justin Gardner, Jeffrey McClendon (Tiffany), and Bo Whitten; great-great-grandchildren, Sawyer Stovers and Mason McClendon; brothers, Allen Hunter (Evenlyn) and Edgar Hunter (Melba); sister, Christene Sanders; brothers-in-law, Bobby Holsombeck and Paul Yarborough; niece, Vickie Guercio (Roy); nephew, Remy Guercio; and special friend, Leamon Black.
