Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect or suspects in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night.

At approximately 8 p.m., Sumiton police received two phone calls reporting between five and seven shots fired in the 2400 block of Bryan Road.

Two occupied trailers near the road were struck, but no one was injured, according to Sumiton Assistant Police Chief Scott Karr.

Neither of the 911 callers or the occupants of the homes were able to give a description of the shooters or their vehicles.

The police currently have no leads on the shooting and are asking anyone in the community who might have seen or heard something in that area to call the department.

Anyone with information on the shooting should call the Sumiton Police Department at (205) 648-3261.
