Christine Edgil Tucker, better known as “Took,” 70, of Kansas, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at her residence.

Visitation was Monday, June 16, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Miles Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held today, June 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.

She was born on June 22, 1943, in Walker County to the late Bervin and Tilda Ann Tidwell Edgil. She was a resident of Kansas most of her life and her church affiliation was the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Tucker; a son, Truman Tucker; a brother, Paul Edgil; and a great-granddaughter, Annabelle Faith Brown.

Tucker is survived by two sons, Jimmy Tucker and his wife, Karen, and Chris Tucker and his wife, Teresa, both of Carbon Hill; four grandchildren, Chad, Stephanie, Holly and Dillon; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cullen Edgil of Nauvoo and J.B. Edgil of Fayette; two sisters, Mary Alice Hodgson and Rachel Pare, both of Carbon Hill; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
