Rev. Leslie B. “Leck” German, 72, of Nauvoo, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 28, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the Homewood Full Gospel Church of God in Kansas with Rev. Ben Lackey and Jimmy Grace officiating. Burial will follow at Ashbank Cemetery in Nauvoo. Wilson Brothers Funeral Home in Carbon Hill directing.

Visitation will be held at the church today, June 30, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40-years, Pearlie Wilburn German; his parents, Bea and Fannie German; two brothers, Elvin German, and Jessie “Jeck” German; and one sister, Betty Davis.

Rev. German is survived by his daugther, Tammy Roberson and her friend Emory Gilbert; three sons, Tony German and his wife Lisa, Leslie Wayne German and his wife Gina, and Shane Wilburn; nine grandchildren, Daniel Taylor, Chase Taylor, Adam German, Tonya Noles, Robin Kilgore, Christina Painter, Matthew Richardson, Michael Richardson, and Dustin Richardson; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Taylor and Rachel Painter; two brothers, Alton German and Kenneth German and his wife Peggy; and one sister, Evelyn Pennington and her husband Kenneth.
