Ellene Nabors “Nervie” Moore, 73, of Sipsey, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She leaves behind many wonderful and treasured memories among her many friends, family, and caregivers.

She was the owner of the Frosty Mug Drive-In at Lynn’s Park until her retirement. For several years she, along with her late husband Charles, were the owners of Moore Trailer and Body Company in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with burial at Sardis Cemetery on River Road in Cordova. Dr. Wayne Fields will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper will direct.

Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. in the parlor at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Nabors; mother, Ocey Nabors Davidson; husband, Charles U.L. Moore; son, Johnny Wayne Moore; and brother, Billy Ray Nabors.

She is survived by her son, Joey Moore of Sipsey; brother, Willard Nabors of Cordova; brothers-in-law, Morris Moore (Shirley) and Billy Moore, both of Sipsey; one granddaughter, Candy Tawbush; two great-grandsons; special godson, Michael Cruise of Sipsey; nephew, Dennis Nabors of Cordova; niece, Donna Vance of Cordova; and loving caregiver, Linda Crumpton.
