Catherine Suino Hamman, 79, of Athens, formerly of Jasper, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Athens, Tenn.

A native of Laurium, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Bessolo Suino. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Art Hamman of Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Joe Morris of Hummelstown, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Arthur and Margaret Hamman of Jasper; granddaughter, Cassidy Morris; grandsons, Justin and Chad Hamman; sister, Marie DeMars of Lake Linden, Mich., brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Gene Suino of Laurium, Mich.; brother-in-law and his wife, Jack and Marcia Hamman of Weiss Lake.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 1291 E. Madison Avenue, Athens, TN, 37303 or Caris Hospice, 1011 W. Madison Avenue, Athens, TN 37303.
