Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at Edgil Grove Baptist Church with burial following at the adjoining cemetery. Bro. David Miller, Carl Uptain and Sister Barbara Jefferson will officiate, Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Visitation will be today from 6 until 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Visitation will also be at the church Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m.
She was preceded in death by the father, Frank L. Uptain; mother, Stella Downs Uptain; grandson, Calub Dockins; sister, Dorthy Levi; brothers, Willie Uptain, L.D. Uptain, Roger Uptain and Arvil Uptain; dear friend Alice Estes. She will be greatly missed and treasured for years to come.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Skinner; daughters, Tammy Marie Hamrick and Rebecca Jo Dockins; sons, Daniel Larry Skinner and James Gregory Skinner; sister, Jean Bates; brothers, Othel Uptain, Carl (W.C.) Uptain and Mike Uptain; grandchildren, Keileigh Hamrick, Nathaniel Hamrick and Jagger Dockins; best friends, Barbara Robinson and Wanda Smith; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Buster Smith, Billy Smith, Jimmy Williams, Clarence Robinson, Nathan Hamrick and Jeffrey Uptain.
