Lorene Black Bush passed away at her home on Friday, August 6, 2010. She was born in Jasper on November 27, 1919. A lifelong resident of Jasper, she worked 42 years at Hall Brothers Sporting Goods Store. She was a member of the Boldo Baptist Church, The Eastern Star, The Jasper Business and Professional Women and served as the Treasurer for the VFW Women’s Auxiliary for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Fred Coston Bush, her parents Dolph and Vonnie Kiker Black, her brothers, Brack, Brady, Grady and Ed Black, her son in law, Wayne L. Tidwell, and her granddaughter, Sara Lorene Bush.

She is survived by her sons Newman (Gail) Bush and Fred (Camille) Bush, Jr. and her daughter, June Bush Tidwell; her grandchildren, Debbie T. Thompson (Paul), Sandy T. Tingle, Rebeccah Bush-Kirkpatrick (Gary), Kathy B. Lewis, Lisa B. Drummond (Don), Jill B. Raines (Kelly), Charlotte B. Cotton (Eddie), Sydney B. Foster (Matt) and Fred C Bush III (Courtney); also 26 great grandchildren and one great grandson.

The family wishes to express gratitude to her special caregivers, Nola Key, Janice Bailey, Linda Drummond, Delaine Breider, Faye McGuff and Kristi Akers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Rev Houston Gardner will officiate. There will be no visitation.

The pall bearers will be Don Drummond, Wes Drummond, John Drummond, Larry Thompson, Blake Lewis, Kelly Raines, Eddy Cotton and Matt Foster.
