According to the TimesDaily, the 54-year-old crashed on Franklin County 69 near the Winston-Franklin county line at approximately 10:30 p.m.
State troopers reported to the Florence newspaper that Norris apparently lost control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle and ran off the road.
Norris died at Lakeland Hospital where he was transported by paramedics shortly after his arrival.
Jerry’s Music in west Jasper was known as Norris Music when it was founded by Norris in the early 1990s. Today, it is owned by Norris’ brother, Jerry.
Jeffrey Norris also owned a music shop in the Parkland’s North Shopping Center.
Jeffrey continued to operate a music store and often put together sound systems for churches and revivals, according to the TimesDaily, which reported that Norris’ friend, Ricky Pollard of Winfield, said, “He’d go around to jail houses, talk to criminals and try to change their lives. He turned a lot of lives around.
“The world lost a good one right there,” Pollard reportedly said about Jeffrey.
