Local ballet students from Marilyn Sanders Performing Arts Center were privileged to participate in a Ballet Intensive week-long camp taught by Clarence McDorman. The students attended 25 hours of classes during the week and had the opportunity to train in the same technical curriculum as dancers from American Ballet Theatre in New York. All classes were held at the MSPAC studio in Jasper.
McDorman received his ballet training on scholarship at the Ruth Page School in Chicago and danced professionally with Nevada Ballet Theatre, Ballet Hawaii, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. (Photo Special to the Eagle)
