He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Smith; brothers, Ramond Smith and Jimmy Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Feneda Smith of Jasper; daughters, Wanda E. Lowery (Stephen) of Jasper, June Smith of Townley; son, John Smith (Tristan) of Bessemer; sisters, Helen Edwards (Willie) of Jasper, Faye Sherer (Don) of Addison; grandchildren, Marley Perry and Braley Smith.
