Maudie Mae “Betty” Dooley, 80, of Bremen, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Union Grove Baptist Church in Bremen with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Danny Norton and the Rev. Dale Manning will officiate. Visitation will be 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton is handling arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leacil Dooley; grandsons, Justin Dooley and Ricky Joseph Dooley; and great-grandson, Caleb Riddle.

Survivors include her sons, Bud Dooley and his wife, Denise, of Sumiton, Ricky Dooley and his wife, Elaine, of Empire, and David Dooley and his wife, Tammy, of Sipsey; daughters, Melinda Quandt and her husband, Ron, of Tennessee, Sandra Stricklin and her husband, Boyd, of Dodge City, and Meloney Edwards and her husband, Don, of Bremen; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
