Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Odom Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 9 a.m. Pastor Ben Goodwin, Rev. Raymond Bolton and Rev. Bud Dunn will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 5 until 7 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel.
He was preceded by his father, E. Bud Adkins; mother, Chelsa Adkins; sisters, Johnie Kirk, Mary Robinson and Lois Key; sons, Michael Jack and Dennis Glenn.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Bettye) Stockman Adkins of Parrish; son, Stephen Von Adkins and his girlfriend Heather Lott; sisters, Nettie Johnson of Cedar Lake and Shirley Morrow of Goodsprings; grandchildren, Chris Adkins (Andy), Shaun Adkins, Shauvon Adkins, Zack Adkins and Alyssa Adkins; great grandchildren, Colton Adkins, Dallas Adkins, Shauna Adkins and Kyle Adkins.
