The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an Empire man who hasn’t been seen for several months.

Corey Nolan Smith, 26, of 189 Drummond Switch Cut-Off Road in Empire, is 6-foot-1, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has sleeve tattoos. A missing persons report was filed by Smith’s family with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office on May 5.

Smith’s family said he was last seen in Jasper.

Ralph Williams, an investigator with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, said police are asking for the public’s help in locating Smith.

“This case is a priority for Sheriff John Mark Tirey, and we are currently using all resources we have available to develop information as we receive it,” Williams said.

He urged anyone with any information that could help with the case to contact the Walker County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at 205-302-6179.

In a fax sent to the Daily Mountain Eagle, members of Smith’s family are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to his whereabouts.
