Rosalynn Smith Perkins, 49, of Vernon was stopped on a traffic stop by officers Ron Colburn and Joshua McGuire and charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence.
Wanda Ann Mote, 38, of Kansas was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs by officers McGuire and Dustin Hulsey.
Cherylynn Dawn Tucker, 35, of Nauvoo was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon. The case is still under investigation.
Allred said the serial number on the firearm seized from Tucker had been altered. He said agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will meet with Carbon Hill police on the seized firearm, as well as other illegal firearms confiscated during prior arrests.
“We're working with just about every agency that we can work with and getting tremendous cooperation from all of them,” Allred said. “The Walker County NET Team has also been coordinating with us on these cases and have been a great help to us. Thanks to the outstanding work of our officers here at the Carbon Hill Police Department, we've made several arrests in my first month here. That makes me really excited about what the future holds.”
