Etta Cathleen Hagood, 78, of Sipsey, passed away Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of Dilworth Church of God. Funeral services will be today, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Boyd and the Rev. Nelson Kimberly will officiate. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Sipsey. Visitation is today from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Q. Hagood; parents, Charlie Callaway and Mary Callaway Wallace; brothers, Chalmas, Gene and Carl Callaway; and sister, Elizabeth Haley.

Survivors include a sister, June Burgett; a brother, Ronald Callaway and his wife Brenda, all of Jasper; her niece and caregiver, Freda Owens and her husband Kenneth of Sipsey; several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ronald, Jimmy Lee, Charles and Brian Callaway and Darin Hopkins and honorary pallbearer, Colby Willingham.
