T.R. Simmons Elementary School students and staff members dressed as their favorite book characters on Friday. Students also enjoyed a visit from the Cat in the Hat as part of the Read Across America celebration at the school.

T.R. Simmons Elementary School students created puppets this week, made out of paper bags, to highlight their favorite book characters. Students with the winning puppet creations received a prize. The project was part of Read Across America activities for the Pre-K through first-grade students at the school.
