PHOTO GALLERY: Sumiton's Frog Festival leaps successfully in sunshine and crowds

Posted 10/1/22

Sumiton's annual Frog Festival - having survived the threat of Hurricane Ian days earlier - took place under bright skies and fall temperatures Saturday. A reported 248 vendors brought out throngs of people to walk the streets downtown. People enjoyed food, singing, children's activities, demonstrations, and much more.  Vehicles were seen lining up deepon the road to Bevill State Community College's parking lot at 10:30 a.m. as more people eagerly awaited entrance, sometimes taking golf cart rides to the blocked off area.
