June 15, 1940 - Nov. 28, 2022

Reba June Barham was born on June 15, 1940, and passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.

Reba moved from Chicago, Illinois, back to Jasper, Alabama, in 1975 with her late husband, Tommy, and their two kids, Jim and Tracy.

Reba was a unique woman who had a passion for caring and loving others. Her charismatic smile and occasional wink could brighten anyone’s day. It didn’t matter if you were family or a friend, she was always there for people.

She devoted her life to God and the church and used her devotion to Christ to help others.

She was an avid Alabama fan. She loved watching the football games in person with her husband, Tommy, or with family at home and you would often find her in an Alabama shirt.

She loved spending time with her siblings watching Saturday night football games or having an impromptu lunch.

She was the matriarch of our family and the glue that holds us all together. We will forever be grateful for the way she loved us all unconditionally and supported us on our adventures through life. We are incredibly thankful and will always cherish the many memories we’ve shared over the years.

She is predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Roy Key; her husband of 56 years, Tommy; and her son, Jim. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy; her siblings, Shirley, Mary, and brother Bill (Teresa); and several grandchildren and their children. Listed as follows: April (Tommy) Jenkins, Hunter (Owen) Hall and son Charlie, Meagan Jenkins, Maria Grice and children Grey and Dash, Christine Barham (Todd) and children Gavin, Avery and Brittney, Lyndsey (Drew) NeSmith and children Emma Kathryn and Ethan, Hayley (Jacob) Ramsey and son Jackson.

Services will be Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, with visiting hours from 11 a.m. to noon for family and noon to 1 p.m. for friends. Services will begin at 1 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Burial services will be at Mount Zion Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in honor of Reba.
