Timothy Carlos Campbell was born on March 18, 1960, and adoringly loved by his parents, the late Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Campbell and the late James Lacy Campbell. Tim’s only sister, Michelle Campbell Merten, preceded him in death.

Tim spent much of his childhood summers with his maternal grandparents and family in Jasper and though he and his family moved with his father for work to a variety of states, he always considered Alabama home.

After graduating from Grandview High School in 1978, Tim began his more than 30-year career as a retail store manager. Anyone that knew Tim would describe him as one of the hardest-working people you’d ever meet, a diehard Chiefs fan, and a loving grandfather to his two granddaughters, who were the light of his life.

During Tim’s retirement, he enjoyed traveling to visit family, debating politics, and cheering for his favorite football, baseball, and NASCAR teams. As a closet “foodie”, Tim loved trying restaurants that he discovered on “Diners, Drive ins and Dives”.

Tim leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kimberly Anne Johnson; his children, James Campbell (girlfriend Josephine Barrale), Jocelyn Rothschild (her husband Brian Rothschild), and Kyle Campbell ( his fiance' Lexy Meszaros); his three beloved granddaughters, Evelyn Rothschild, Miabella Campbell and Ansley Meszaros. He will be sorely missed by his father’s surviving sister (Charlotte Twite), his sister’s surviving husband (David Merten), his in-laws (David II and Karen Johnson, Robin and John Cash) and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2022, at 5 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. in the Collins Burke Chapel. Rick Sherer will officiate.

I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. St. John 11:25-26

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation, the many comforting messages, floral tributes, prayers, cards and many other expressions of kindness. A more personal acknowledgment will be made at a later date.
